Fourteen years old, newly-arrived Lukas finds Drakkos, and helps him locate her, but that last thing that Maranatha wants is help from anyone. She has no friends, talks to no one, and refuses every attempt at companionship.

Together they team up to find the source of the suffering affecting Drakkos' Dragonheart. Yet the troubled goth girl they seek flees from them. Living in terror, she rebuffs Lukas, and any hope for escape from the fate that she'd doomed to endure.
