Your axe flies true, and strikes the troll hard, deeply denting his rusty helmet. He staggers back, and then jumps off of the ledge and runs away. You retrieve your axe, but by the time that you do, the troll has fled and vanished down the tunnel. Behind him the tunnel turns east.
